About Our Turkeys:
We raise our own turkeys here at Weber's Farm in Parkville, Maryland. The turkeys live in an open-air shelter that protects them from the weather and natural predators, and have fresh water available to them, and free-choice feed. They eat fed grains that are grown on local farms, along with a diet of soybeans, oats, and corn. They are also provided with an all-natural vitamin and mineral supplement.
Early on, they are also fed an all-natural feed supplement to provide an early source of protein. They are also given sodium bicarbonate to help with stomach digestion.
We do not use hormones on our turkeys. Antibiotics are only given to them for their first week of life to get them off to an early start. We understand some do not want any antibiotics at all, and we will be experimenting with that for the next batch of turkeys.
Nothing tastes better than a farm fresh, home grown turkey. Our turkeys are processed only five days before the holiday, and fresh water-rinsed throughout the entire process. Then the meat is packed in ice to guarantee a fresh, moist turkey for your Holiday dinner. Our processing is done just up the road at Reynolds Farm in Reisterstown.
Fresh Turkeys are available for order during the holidays.
